Rep. Molinaro & Broome County Leaders Launch ‘Broome County’s Next Chapter’ Initiative

Binghamton, NY – Standing at Klaw Industries in Binghamton with Broome County leaders, U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) today launched ‘Broome County’s Next Chapter.’ The initiative aims to unite community leaders from the public and private sectors to forge a new path of growth and prosperity for Broome County.

Rep. Molinaro was joined by County Executive Jason Garnar, State Senator Peter Oberacker, President of Broome Community College Dr. Tony Hawkins, Jacob Kumpon and Jack Lamuraglia from KLAW Industries, District Attorney Paul Battisti, Binghamton Mayor Kraham, Endicott Mayor Nick Burlingame, Mark Heefner Commissioner of Greater Binghamton Airport (BGM), President Kathy Connerton and CEO Paul VerValin of Guthrie Lourdes Hospital, Mina Hoblitz from the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce, and Bill Mirabito.

Rep. Molinaro said, “Today we launched Broome County’s Next Chapter. I’m bringing Republicans, Democrats, employers, educators, and people from every walk of life to the table. We want to take a hard look at Broome County to identify our strengths, weaknesses, and develop consensus on a plan that will bring Broome County into a new chapter of prosperity. This community is gritty and resilient. We just need the chance and a plan.”

The initiative marks the beginning of a series of planned meetings and collaborative efforts aimed at propelling Broome County towards a vibrant future. Rep. Molinaro, drawing from his extensive experience as a Village Mayor and County Executive, expressed confidence in the community’s ability to overcome challenges and achieve significant progress.

Rep. Molinaro concluded, “This is just the start. We plan to have more meetings and will be getting the gears into motion. With the people standing beside me – honest, earnest problem solvers – I am confident that we can write the next successful chapter of Broome County.”
