Molinaro: Small Business Committee Post Will Amplify My Impact for Upstate NY As A Freshman Member of Congress

Washington, DCU.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) today announced he was selected to serve on the House Committee on Small Business. This is the third House Committee Rep. Molinaro has been selected for, a rarity for a freshman Member of Congress. This week, Rep. Molinaro announced he will serve on the House Committee on Agriculture and the House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure.

The House Committee on Small Business has jurisdiction over issues related to small businesses and conducts oversight over the Small Business Administration (SBA).

Rep. Molinaro said, “I’m honored to be named to the House Committee on Small Business. Receiving three committee assignments is a high honor for a freshman Member of Congress. It will amplify my impact for Upstate New York and help me deliver results for local small businesses at a crucial time.”

Rep. Molinaro continued, “Right now, small businesses in Upstate New York are bearing the brunt of record-high inflation and desperately need support. On the House Small Business Committee, I will be focused on empowering entrepreneurs and supporting commonsense policy that reduces the burden government places on small businesses.”

Rep. Molinaro represents New York’s 19th Congressional District. The District includes Broome, Chenango, Columbia, Cortland, Delaware, Greene, Sullivan, Tioga, and Tompkins counties as well as part of Otsego County and Ulster County.
