Molinaro Helps Showcase Art From Disability Community With Think DIFFERENTLY Exhibit At LUMA Festival In Binghamton

Binghamton, NY – This weekend, U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) partnered with disability service providers including Springbrook, ACHIEVE, Community Options, and Help Celebrate Abilities (HCA) to showcase a Think DIFFERENTLY exhibit with their artwork at the LUMA Projections Arts Festival in Binghamton.

The LUMA Projections Arts Festival is an annual festival in downtown Binghamton that projects artwork and imagery on buildings by using art, technology, storytelling and projection mapping.

In 2015, Rep. Molinaro launched the ‘Think DIFFERENTLY’ initiative, which aims to break down barriers for individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. Since coming to Congress, Rep. Molinaro has built off his nationally recognized initiative by crafting a bipartisan Think DIFFERENTLY Legislative Package

Rep. Molinaro said, "The Think DIFFERENTLY exhibit at LUMA highlights the incredible talent and creativity of individuals with disabilities, who too often are not given the opportunity to showcase their gifts. This festival provides a powerful platform for their work, and I’m proud to partner with organizations like Springbrook, ACHIEVE, Community Options, and HCA to help make that happen. Together, we are challenging perceptions and breaking down barriers, creating a more inclusive community where everyone’s abilities are recognized and celebrated."
