Molinaro Delivers Over $4 Million For Early Education Programming in Cortland & Delaware Counties

Hancock, NY – U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) today announced Cortland County Community Action Program will receive $3,113,594 in federal funds and Delaware Opportunities will receive $1,381,584 in federal funding for Head Start programming.

These funds are available through the Head Start and Early Head Start programs and administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). They will be used to support Cortland County's Community Action and Delaware Opportunities Head Start Programs, which provide comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to children from low-income families. Rep. Molinaro voted to increase federal funding for Head Start Programs by over $1 billion in the Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations bill.

Rep. Molinaro said, "I'm proud to deliver over $4 million in federal funds for critical early education services in Cortland and Delaware County. Head Start ensures every kid regardless of family income, receives quality education and has the opportunity to succeed. It is so important to invest in childhood education and our future generation."

Jennifer Geibel, Director of Head Start for Cortland County Community Action said, "Cortland County Community Action Program is proud to continue providing high quality early childhood education services to the community. Thank you to Congressman Molinaro for his continued support."
