House Passes Rep. Molinaro's Bipartisan Bill Supporting Entrepreneurs With Disabilities

Washington, DC – U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (R-NY-19) today announced the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Reporting Act has passed the House of Representatives with bipartisan support. Rep. Molinaro introduced this bill alongside U.S. Rep. Morgan McGarvey (D-KY-03). This is the 34th Molinaro-authored measure to pass the House.

The Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Reporting Act requires the Small Business Administration (SBA) to submit a report to Congress on the challenges entrepreneurs with disabilities face to assess needs, understand current resources available, and recommend action to address the challenges identified.

Rep. Molinaro said, "Every person, of every ability, deserves to pursue their dreams and have a shot at success. Passing this bipartisan legislation is a huge step in the right direction for the disability community by providing much needed clarity for entrepreneurs as they navigate the complex web of Small Business Administration resources and services."

This bill builds off Rep. Molinaro's successful ‘Think DIFFERENTLY’ initiative, which breaks down barriers for the disability community. Rep. Molinaro held a Think DIFFERENTLY Day of Action in Broome County earlier this year, in which he called on Congress to pass legislation he authored to support individuals with disabilities.
