Rep. Molinaro Announces Over $1 Million to Expand Early Childhood Education Programming in Delaware County

Hancock, NY – U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) today announced $1,320,145 in federal funding is being delivered to Delaware Opportunities Inc.

These funds are available through the Head Start and Early Head Start programs and administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). They will be used to support the Head Start program in Delaware County, which provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to children from low-income families. In Congress, Rep. Molinaro has advocated for increased funding for Head Start.

Rep. Molinaro said, “I am proud to announce Delaware Opportunities Inc. will receive over $1 million in federal funds to continue providing vital early childhood education services to children from low-income families. I believe in this program and its ability to empower children and their families. Investing in early childhood education is one of the most important things we can do to put the next generation on a path of success. "
