Writing Competition

“If you were President for a day, what would you do? Would you plant more trees? Would you build playgrounds accessible to those with disabilities? Would you make Pizza Friday every day? Whatever your ideas are, I want to know. In 400 words or less, let us know what you would do if were president for a day.  

This writing contest is open to all third, fourth, and fifth graders across New York’s 19th Congressional District. A winner will be chosen from each grade. All essays must be submitted by March 15, 2024 and include the student’s first and last name, school, and grade, along with their parent or guardian's contact information. Essays can be submitted by email to Congressman.Molinaro@mail.house.gov with the subject line ‘Writing Contest’ or by mail to our district office in Leeds:
