Rep. Molinaro Announces Over $500K in Federal Funds to Support Local Affordable Housing & Community Development

Binghamton, NYU.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) today announced $544,000 in federal funding will be delivered to Greater Opportunities for Broome and Chenango, Inc. and Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. to develop and preserve affordable housing, revitalize and sustain neighborhoods, and create jobs.

The funding is available through NeighborWorks America, a public nonprofit organization created Congress. The organization supports and enhances a network of nearly 250 local and regional nonprofit partner NeighborWorks organizations that bring together residents, private-sector business leaders, and representatives of local government to create communities of opportunity.

Rep. Molinaro said, "I am pleased to announce over $500,000 in federal funding is being delivered to Greater Opportunities for Broome and Chenango and Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services. During many of my town halls, I heard from Upstate New Yorkers on the need for more affordable housing options in our region. I’m proud to say these funds will support important work to expand affordable housing, revitalize neighborhoods, and create economic opportunities for Upstate New Yorkers."
