Binghamton, NY — U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) today announced Sofia Shaff, a sophomore at Charles O. Dickerson High School in Tompkins County, has been named the winner of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition for New York’s 19th Congressional District. Sofia's piece, titled ‘Amalie,’ will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one full year.

Rep. Molinaro said, "I am extremely proud of all the talented local students who participated in the 2024 Congressional Art Challenge and am excited to share Sofia Shaff is our winner for her breathtaking piece. I look forward to seeing her artwork in the halls of the U.S Capitol, proudly representing New York's 19th Congressional District for the next year."

Rep. Molinaro’s offices received unique and creative entries from students from across the 19th Congressional District. The winning piece of artwork was selected by a panel of local judges.
