Liberty, NY – U.S. Rep Marc Molinaro (NY-19) today called out President Biden for flying hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants across the United States without notifying the public. Currently, there are at least 200,000 undocumented immigrants in New York City. In response to the influx, New York City has attempted to bus them to communities in New York’s 19th Congressional District like Liberty, leading counties across Upstate New York to declare states of emergency.

A Freedom Of Information Act request uncovered that the Biden administration has flown at least 320,000 undocumented immigrants into the United States over the past 12 months. The administration however has refused to disclose the origin of these flights or say where the undocumented immigrants were flown to in the United States.

In a letter to President Biden, Rep. Molinaro demanded he immediately end this program and say where these flights came from and where they went.

Rep. Molinaro said, “President Biden has been secretly transporting undocumented immigrants across the country without notifying the public. New York has become one of the epicenters of the border crisis, with counties in New York’s 19th Congressional District declaring states of emergency to prevent undocumented immigrants from being transported there. This secret relocation program needs to end now.”

Dear President Biden,

I am incredibly concerned with a recent report that came out as a result of a Freedom Of Information Act request that shows your administration has flown at least 320,000 migrants into the United States over the past 12 months.

The report states that migrants were flown from international airports into 43 different airports throughout the United States, but that CBP cannot share the specifics for security purposes.

There are dozens of airports in New York State and it is concerning to know that thousands of migrants may have been flown into New York without knowledge of who these individuals are, where they departed from, and which communities they settled. There are already at least 200,000 migrants that have come to New York City. Many of these migrants have been sent to Upstate New York to places like Sullivan County, in my district.

These migrants come needing food, housing, medical treatment, and more. These needs end up being provided at the expense of New York taxpayers and county resources that are already limited to begin with.

Therefore, I urge you to end this program immediately and provide Congress and the American people with full transparency about the details of this secretive program.

I request you answer the following questions by March 29, 2024:

• Is this program still active?

• What international airports have migrants flown from into the United States?

• What domestic airports have migrants flown into within the United States?

• What communication was made with local airport authorities, local communities, and local service providers prior to migrant arrivals?

• What legal authority was used to operate this program?

• Will you terminate this program immediately and share all relevant information with Congress and the public?
